Never Go Alone
If you’re looking for thrills, chills, and unforgettable Halloween memories, there’s no event quite like Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort. Every fall, Universal Studios Florida transforms into the nation’s premier Halloween event, where terrifying haunted houses, immersive scare zones, live entertainment, and exclusive food offerings create a night of nonstop scares.
Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned Horror Nights fan, this separately ticketed event delivers movie-quality horror experiences that place you directly inside your favorite nightmares. From iconic horror franchises to original terrifying concepts, Halloween Horror Nights is a must-do event for horror enthusiasts looking for the ultimate Halloween getaway.
“My kids are older and we love finding things they all enjoy. While I am not a haunted house fan myself, this has become a yearly tradition for us!”
Dare to Enter
At its core, HHN is defined by its haunted houses ten movie set quality walk through experiences that range from iconic pop culture nightmares to spine-chilling Universal originals. Each house is a fully produced immersive enviroment with elaborate sets, professional scare actors, and special effects that rival anything you would see on a Hollywood sound stage. Guests can find themselves face-to-face with legendary villains, terrifying creatures, and cinematic scares around every corner.
The house line up for 2026 has not been fully released yet but they have confirmed Sinners and Jack & Oddfellow: Chaos & Control. Last years fan favorites included Five Nights at Freddy’s, Fallout, Jason Universe and more.

One of our best strategies for experiencing more houses is to arrive early and take advantage of Universal’s early entry options before the event officially begins. There are multiple ways to get into the park early:
- Universal Resort Hotel Guests– By staying on site guests have a dedicated entrance to skip the long lines at the general entrance
- Scream Early Ticket-You can get access to at least three haunted houses starting at 3pm, plus you can enjoy iconic rides
- Stay and Scream-If you have a daytime park admission and HHN event ticket for the same day, you stay in a holding area beginning at 2pm. Then can join a que for a house starting at 4 pm.
Nowhere to Hide
If the haunted houses are the main course, the scare zones are the unnerving appetizer you did not see coming. Unlike the haunted houses, the scares don’t stop when you walk outside. Scare Zones are open-air themed areas scattered throughout the park. They transform the streets into immersive horror environments filled with roaming scareactors, elaborate sets, lighting effects and atmospheric music.
- NOTE: Scareactors can not touch you but, they can get very close. You have been warned!
Guests may encounter everything from undead creatures and twisted carnival performers to masked killers and supernatural monsters lurking in the fog. Popular recent scare zones have included themes such as Masquerade: Dance With Death, Club Horror, and Mel’s Die-In Zombies. Each zone offers a unique atmosphere and countless photo opportunities for brave guests willing to venture through.
The scare zones are often just as memorable as the haunted houses, creating a fully immersive horror experience throughout the entire park.
Enjoy Live Shows Between the Screams
When you need a break from the intense scares, Halloween Horror Nights offers spectacular live entertainment.
One of the event’s most popular productions is Nightmare Fuel, (not for younger audiences) a high-energy show featuring fire effects, aerial performers, illusions, and pulse-pounding music. Guests can also enjoy lagoon and stage shows that combine special effects, projections, and haunting storytelling.
These performances provide the perfect opportunity to relax, cool off, and experience another side of Halloween Horror Nights while still staying immersed in the spooky atmosphere.
Sinfully Good: Event Food & Drinks
Halloween Horror Nights isn’t just about scares—it’s also a foodie’s dream. Universal goes all-in with themed menus crafted specifically for the event, the results are creative, delicious, and wildly instagrammable.
Throughout the event, specialty food booths offer creative menu items inspired by the haunted houses and scare zones. Guests can enjoy themed pizzas, specialty burgers, loaded fries, unique desserts, and exclusive beverages available only during the event season.
Past offerings have included franchise-inspired treats such as Freddy Fazbear-themed pizza creations, Fallout-inspired snacks, specialty desserts, and a variety of spooky cocktails and mocktails. The food booths often become attractions of their own, allowing guests to sample limited-time creations while exploring the park.
